Duties of the Service Advisor:
- - Attending to customers at vehicle drop-off and collection points, ensuring a professional and friendly experience
- - Taking accurate notes of customer service requirements and effectively communicating these to the workshop team
- - Keeping customers updated on their vehicle’s repair or service progress
- - Costing additional work recommended by technicians and securing customer approval before proceeding
- - Preparing and presenting accurate invoices and related paperwork
- - Explaining work undertaken and presenting suitable service products such as service plans and warranties
- - Upselling service plans, warranties, and additional vehicle care options to maximise customer satisfaction and dealership profitability
Requirements:
- - Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar motor trade role
- - Excellent communication and customer service skills
- - Ability to confidently upsell and suggest additional products
- - IT literate, preferably with experience using CDK Drive or Kerridge systems
- - Organised with strong time-management skills
- - Full UK driving licence, ideally with a clean record
- - Customer-focused attitude with a professional manner
- - Previous experience working within franchised dealerships is preferred
