Job summary

Service Advisor role in Shrewsbury at a premium main dealership, offering a £29,000 basic salary and uncapped OTE of £35,000+.

You will greet customers, book MOTs/servicing, and provide updates while work is carried out, with training and strong progression opportunities.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–6:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays; 42 hours per week on a permanent contract.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Booking vehicles in for MOTs, servicing, maintenance and repairs

Service Advisor Role

As a Service Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Booking vehicles in for MOTs, servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Meeting and greeting customers and providing an excellent customer experience
• Keeping customers regularly updated while their vehicle is in the workshop
• Advising customers on warranty coverage
• Identifying and upselling additional work, parts and accessories
• Liaising with technicians and the wider Aftersales department
• Organising workshop appointments around workload and availability
• Managing a high volume of customers, telephone calls and online enquiries
• Advising customers on expected repair and turnaround times
• Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records
• Updating dealership systems with bookings and customer information
• Explaining technical information clearly and professionally to customersService Advisor Requirements

Service Advisor Requirements

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confident working within a busy dealership environment
• Ability to build rapport quickly with customers
• Commercially aware with confidence upselling additional products and services
• Strong organisation and administration skills
• Experience using Kerridge / ADP or similar dealer management systems would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy Aftersales team
• Genuine interest in the automotive industryHours 42 hours per week

Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, with one early finish per week
• Saturday: 8:00am-2:00pm on a rota
