Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a Service Advisor for a well-established automotive bodyshop in Kirkby. You will be the primary customer contact, handling enquiries by phone, email and in person, and keeping clients informed on repair progress.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, 42.5-hour week with some flexible hours, and a salary up to £28,000 depending on experience plus a quarterly bonus. Opportunity for development within the automotive industry in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, administration, or as a Service Advisor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage workload efficiently.
• Good IT literacy and confidence using computer systems.
• Calm, professional attitude in challenging situations.
• Automotive or bodyshop experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for customers, offering a professional, friendly service.
• Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Keep customers informed regarding the progress of their vehicle repairs.
• Schedule vehicle bookings, collections, and deliveries as required.
• Liaise with workshop team to obtain accurate repair updates and timescales.
• Communicate effectively with insurers and relevant third parties.
• Explain repair procedures and timescales clearly to customers.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer and vehicle records.
• Provide general administrative support to the wider team.
• Ensure customers receive regular updates during their vehicle's repair process.
