Job summary

Prospectus IT Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor at an established automotive dealership in Epsom. You will be the main link between customers and the workshop, managing bookings and ensuring a smooth service journey from initial contact to handover.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, a minimum of 2 years in a service advisory role, experience with workshop coordination, and a full UK driving licence.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm

An established and successful automotive dealership in Epsom is looking to recruit an experienced Service Advisor to join its busy Aftersales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Service Advisor experience who enjoys building relationships with customers, coordinating with a busy workshop and delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the vehicle service and repair journey.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the key point of contact between customers and the workshop. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and building strong, professional relationships
• Understanding customer requirements and providing clear advice
• Providing accurate estimates for repair costs and completion times
• Booking and scheduling vehicles into the workshop
• Liaising with technicians, workshop control and parts departments
• Taking workshop capacity and parts availability into consideration when scheduling work
• Keeping customers informed throughout the service and repair process
• Advising customers of additional or recommended work
• Arranging courtesy/loan vehicles when required
• Ensuring customers receive a professional experience from initial booking through to vehicle handover

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years' experience as a Service Advisor
• Previous experience within the automotive/motor industry
• Dealership or busy workshop experience
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
• Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the telephone
• Experience coordinating workshop bookings and managing customer expectations
• A highly organised and efficient approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
• A professional and confident telephone manner
• Full UK driving licence
