Job description

If so, you could be just who we at Waylands Automotive are looking for!

We’re currently seeking a Service Advisor for our Kia franchise at our Bicester branch. This position is initially a maternity cover for 12 months, with the potential to become permanent. The role involves acting as the liaison between customers and service technicians, representing the business when customers arrive for service and repairs. Responsibilities include greeting customers, listening to their requests, scheduling appointments, estimating costs, and conducting inspections. Our Service Advisors work closely with customers to understand vehicle issues, determine repair timelines, and communicate concerns to technicians with accurate descriptions.

Duties will include:

  • Communicating with customers regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Maintaining positive relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and pickups via online systems, phone, and in person, using our in-house and manufacturer systems.
  • Providing updates to customers about their vehicle status.
  • Collaborating with technicians to ensure vehicles are ready on time.

About You:

  • You are an active listener and an excellent communicator.
  • You maintain a positive attitude with customers.
  • You take ownership of your role and are proactive.
  • You derive satisfaction from delivering outstanding customer service.
  • You can work effectively to deadlines.
  • You possess a full UK driving licence.
  • Experience as a Service Advisor is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for candidates with customer service experience.

Salary, Hours, and Benefits:

  • Set rota including some Saturday mornings, approximately 45 hours per week.
  • Basic salary of £30,000 plus bonuses.
  • 31 days holiday per year, including Bank Holidays, some of which you may need to work.
