Job description

Service Advisor Position in Bicester

We are working with a Commercial / LCV Garage in the Bicester area that is actively seeking a Service Advisor to join their friendly team.

Working Hours and Salary

The position is for 44 hours per week, including one in three Saturday mornings (8:00 am to 12:00 noon), with hours spread across the year for salary purposes. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, either 8:00 to 17:00, 7:00 to 16:00, or 9:00 to 18:00, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. The salary is circa £29,000-£31,000 per annum for a fully experienced candidate, plus a £3,000 annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring customers are informed about required service and repair work professionally
• Advising on estimated costs and work to be undertaken
• Selling additional products as appropriate
• Providing information on timescales and collection arrangements
• Producing job cards using the in-house computer system
• Updating customer and vehicle records
• Documenting warranty work according to manufacturer policy
• Preparing and completing invoices

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within a motor garage, commercial, HGV, or LCV environment (not essential)
• Full driving license

The ideal candidate will demonstrate high standards of courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers and the public. Strong customer service skills, excellent rapport, and confidence in up-selling opportunities are essential to achieve great CSI results.
