Job summary

NXA Talent Limited is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth in waste management. You will open doors, build relationships with major corporate customers and win new business by delivering sustainable, outsourced solutions.

You will manage your own pipeline, engage with bid teams on tenders, and interact with stakeholders from frontline operators to board-level decision-makers across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven business development experience in waste management or environmental services.
• Track record of selling outsourced solutions to commercial/industrial markets.
• Evidence of generating leads, developing a pipeline and winning new business.
• Experience with corporate or blue-chip customers.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting commercial solutions.
• Experience contributing to bids, tenders and complex sales processes.
• A genuine interest in sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across commercial and industrial markets.
• Build relationships with large corporate and blue-chip organisations.
• Sell outsourced services and tailored solutions that support customers’ operational and sustainability objectives.
• Develop your own pipeline from initial engagement through to contract win.
• Collaborate with internal bid teams on tenders, proposals and major opportunities.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels, from operators to senior leadership and board level.
• Encourage customers to adopt more sustainable, resource-efficient and circular ways of working.
