Are you ready to advance your veterinary career? Join one of the nation's premier veterinary charities in Bradford as a Senior Veterinary Surgeon.
Our client, a thriving small animal hospital nestled in Bradford, seeks a dedicated Senior Veterinary Surgeon to spearhead their dynamic team on a full‑time basis. In this role, you will lead the hospital, supported by a Head Nurse, a Client Services Manager and two Veterinary Surgeon Team Leaders.
As the Senior Veterinary Surgeon, your duties will encompass a spectrum of responsibilities, including guiding and nurturing the clinical team, overseeing all facets of clinical governance, managing financial aspects, and optimising the utilisation of charitable resources.
You will be an integral part of an exceptional veterinary team, comprising eleven full‑time equivalent vets and a nursing team of approximately twenty colleagues, evenly distributed between registered veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants. A proficient team of receptionists ensures seamless client experiences. This diverse environment, with a mix of seasoned professionals and burgeoning talents, presents an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about fostering team growth both clinically and personally.
The hospital boasts state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including digital X‑ray, ultrasound, orthopaedic surgical equipment, on‑site blood analysis, piped gases and endoscopy, ensuring you have all the tools necessary to deliver top‑notch care.
While previous experience in practice and people management is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. Their comprehensive training programme, coupled with mentoring from an Area Veterinary Manager, ensures you will receive the support needed to excel in your role.
