Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in the UK to service, repair and diagnose vehicles, including complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements. You will also conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards and maintain vehicles to a high standard, supporting customers on the road.

Ideal candidates have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, 4+ years in workshops, a clean driving licence, and a willingness to undertake MOT Tester training and qualifications, with

Qualifications

Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
Must have a full drives licence with no more than 9 points.
Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, repair and replacement work.
Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and diagnostic work.
Maintain and repair vehicles to a high standard, including complex tasks such as clutch/timing belt replacements.
