Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks like clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.

Once qualified, youll also carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work, ensuring service quality and safety for customers.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs, and more complex work such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and ensure high-quality maintenance.
