Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic. You’ll be skilled in servicing and repair work, including clutch and timing belt replacements, and diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.

Once qualified, you’ll carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, from advanced diagnostics to routine servicing, ensuring every vehicle is maintained to the highest standard and customers stay safe on the road.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Ability to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs/replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and perform vehicle maintenance and repair work.
• Carry out servicing, diagnostics and complex repairs across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Work towards highest standards to keep customers safely on the road.
