Job summary

Halfords are seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Fareham to service and repair cars, including clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems. You'll carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of maintenance work.

Candidates should have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, 4 years' workshop experience, and a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points, with MOT tester

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a workshop environment.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Ability to carry out diagnostics and more complex repairs.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt work.
• Diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified.
• Perform routine maintenance and high-quality repairs to keep customers safe on the road.
