Job summary

Halfords Autocentres in Bognor Regis is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic. You will service and repair vehicles, progress to MOT Tester training, and potentially undertake certified MOT testing as you gain the qualification.

You will work in a busy workshop, handling diagnostics across electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems, with a salary package that includes a base and potential bonus and a focus on skills development within the UK’s largest automotive service network.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs and replacements.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair tasks including more complex work such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and perform a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship to keep customers safe on the road.
