Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a VAT Manager to lead VAT client work from the Edinburgh or Glasgow office. You will review VAT returns, plan and implement VAT work, and ensure cost-effective service aligned with budgets and client expectations.

You will collaborate with Partners and manage a portfolio of clients while developing specialist expertise. The role offers hybrid working, diverse client exposure, and opportunities to shape new VAT services within a national practice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in client handling and project management.
• Tax experience in producing high quality work within budget.

Responsibilities

• Identify VAT planning opportunities and undertake specialist technical assignments.
• Interview and convert prospects; support proposals for new work.
• Be the principal point of contact for VAT queries and manage client portfolios.
• Develop advanced technical knowledge through ongoing learning.
• Collaborate across service lines to generate regional new business.
