Job summary

RSM UK is recruiting a VAT Manager to lead VAT client work from either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, combining tax expertise with strategic client service.

You will review VAT returns, plan and deliver VAT work within budgets, and act as the primary client contact while developing business opportunities across the region. Hybrid working and a supportive development program are offered.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATII qualified, or ACA/ACCA desirable.
• Experience in client handling and project management.
• Proven VAT experience producing high quality work within budget.
• Proven indirect tax experience and effective leadership skills.
• Interest or aptitude for business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control VAT client work including the review and preparation of VAT returns.
• Undertake detailed planning and implementation of VAT work within budgets.
• Interface between clients and the firm to meet service, quality and cost targets.
• Develop advanced technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.
• Collaborate across service lines to generate new business in the region.
