Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a VAT Manager to lead VAT client work from Edinburgh or Glasgow, managing returns and planning with Partners. You will be pivotal in coordinating cross‑firm advice and delivering cost‑effective services to middle‑market clients.

The role requires VAT qualifications (CTA/ATII or ACA/ACCA), strong client handling and leadership, and a proactive approach to business development across the regional market.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying VAT planning opportunities and performing specialist assignments.
• Ability to handle client relationships and manage budgets across engagements.
• Proven track record in tax advisory work with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advise on VAT planning opportunities and specialist assignments.
• Identify, interview and convert prospective clients; contribute to proposals.
• Be principal contact for clients on VAT queries; manage a client portfolio with Partners.
