Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a VAT Manager to lead VAT client work in Edinburgh or Glasgow, overseeing VAT returns, planning, and delivery within budget. You will partner with senior staff to align client expectations with service quality and cost targets.

The role offers hybrid working in Scotland, a pathway to develop technical VAT expertise, and opportunities to generate new business across service lines within a supportive national firm.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATII qualification, or ACA/ACCA preferred.
• Experience in handling clients and managing projects.
• Experience in tax work including indirect tax and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advise on VAT planning opportunities and conduct specialist assignments.
• Identify, interview and convert prospective clients, assist in proposals for new work.
• Serve as principal client contact for VAT queries and manage a client portfolio with Partners.
• Develop advanced technical knowledge through development opportunities.
• Collaborate across service lines to generate new business in the region.
