Job summary

RSM UK in London seeks a VAT Director to lead a high-impact VAT practice, overseeing major client relationships and delivering strategic advisory across industries.

You will drive growth, spearhead business development, and mentor senior and junior staff, while maintaining technical excellence and client service standards. Hybrid working is available with a strong focus on delivering value.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Associate Director or Director level.
• Experience of winning work and/or ability to unlock fees from existing client base.
• Confident in helping to develop junior staff and drive a strong team environment.
• Ability to build and develop a team of VAT practitioners.
• Strong commerciality with ability to meet targets.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with client management experience.
• Proven track record of winning new business and growing client portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex VAT advisory matters and provide strategic advice across industries.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients and lead significant client relationships.
• Drive growth of the VAT practice through proactive business development and new opportunities.
• Lead due diligence and complex projects with oversight of quality, risk and commercial performance.
• Take accountability for delivery, profitability and growth of a substantial client portfolio.
• Collaborate with Partners to identify cross-service opportunities for the firm’s offering.
• Sponsor and develop Associate Directors, Managers and future leaders.
• Raise the firm’s profile through networking, thought leadership, and client engagement.
