PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is recruiting a VAT Manager in Edinburgh to join a top 15 UK accountancy firm’s national VAT advisory team. The role is hybrid, offering a balance of home and office work with a focus on delivering commercial VAT solutions across sectors.

You will lead advisory projects, manage client conversations, and contribute to business development within a collaborative, supportive environment and an attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in UK VAT advisory across sectors.
• Sound understanding of cross-border VAT principles is valuable.
• Confident, commercial, client-facing with ability to explain complex issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality VAT advisory services to a wide client base, including complex supply chain issues, liability queries, and dispute resolution.
• Lead client conversations both face-to-face and virtually, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and practical outcomes.
• Play an active role in growing the VAT practice through business development, sector collaboration, and contributing to national working groups.
• Review and sign off complex VAT returns, while supporting internal teams with technical VAT input.
