Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead utility surveys and PAS 128 compliant surveys, delivering hands-on field work and supporting growth of the surveying service. You will excel in client liaison, ensure high safety standards and mentor junior team members.

The role involves leading projects, using GPR, total stations, and GPS, traveling to projects nationwide as required, and developing processes for future expansion.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering utility surveys, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PAS 128 and industry practices are essential.
• Proficient in using surveying technologies including GPR and GPS.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards.
• Provide specialist technical support to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (total stations, GPS, GPR).
• Record underground utility assets and manhole inspection reports accurately.
• Deliver utility survey reports to Project Managers and CAD Operators per standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships for successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support their professional development.
• Conduct quality checks onsite and ensure smooth handover to deliverables.
• Maintain functionality of all survey equipment.
• Perform Health & Safety risk assessment and planning.
