Job summary

WSP in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to join the Leeds office and lead complex multi-utility projects from feasibility through delivery. You will advise clients on utility connections, diversions, and infrastructure strategies, mentor colleagues, and work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver schemes on time and on budget.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or progress toward it, a Civil Engineering degree, UK experience, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing chartership with ICE.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies in the UK.
• Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water and telecom networks owners.
• Experience with multi-utility offerings (iDNO/ICP) is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in BIM standards and 2D/3D modelling.
• Strong report writing and client communication.
• Eligible for UK Security Check (SC).

Responsibilities

• Lead utilities infrastructure schemes within multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Deliver projects on budget and to a high standard.
• Mentor junior staff and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with Leeds office and broader WSP network.
