Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior/Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to lead utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies for major UK schemes. You will engage clients, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and ensure delivery on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working toward Chartered Engineer.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility strategies in the UK.
• Knowledge of Electricity, Gas, Water and Telecommunications networks owners.
• Experience with Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings beneficial.
• Ability to develop utility demand calculations for a development.
• Experience on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and time management.
• Working knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication for client reports and engagements.

Responsibilities

• Work within multidisciplinary teams to maintain and develop client relationships.
• Deliver diverse, complex schemes within budget and on time.
• Provide senior client contact on projects and mentor team members.
• Ensure high-quality work and accurate information delivery to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across projects.
• Communicate technical details effectively and network with stakeholders.
• Support delivery of projects with BIM and 3D modelling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with security and vetting requirements.
