Job summary

WSP in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to lead utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies for a range of developments. You will engage with clients, drive schemes from feasibility through to implementation, and mentor junior staff while delivering on time and budget.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or progress toward it, a Civil Engineering degree, and experience with multi-utility networks.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartered Engineer.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies in the UK.
• Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks owners.
• Experience with Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings would be beneficial.
• Ability to develop utility demand calculations for a Development.
• Project experience of large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage time.
• Working knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication to engage co-professionals and deliver high-quality reports.
• AutoCAD/Civils 3D with 2D drawing and 3D modelling capabilities.

• Deliver diverse, complex schemes to budget and schedule.
• Provide a senior point of contact for clients on key projects.
• Mentor team members and ensure high-quality outputs.
• Maintain professional reputation and deliver quality service.
• Be commercially aware and solve problems efficiently.
