Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior/Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to lead multi-utility projects across the UK. You will engage with clients, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive innovative solutions from feasibility to implementation.

The role emphasizes developing utility strategies, maintaining strong client relationships, and mentoring colleagues, with opportunities to progress toward EngTech/IEng/CEng status and Chartership.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large UK schemes.
• Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks owners.
• Experience of Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings would be beneficial.
• Ability to develop utility demand calculations based on Development needs.
• Project experience on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Working knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with co-professionals and producing high quality reports.
• AutoCAD / Civils 3D or similar software with 2D/3D modelling.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ability to communicate technical detail effectively and networking skills.
• UK Security Check (SC) eligibility.
