Job summary

Travelers Europe is seeking an experienced Underwriter to produce and underwrite new and renewal business from assigned brokers, while driving profitability and retention. The role combines underwriting responsibility with active broker development and sales leadership within a defined book of business.

You will underwrite complex accounts, apply product segment strategies, and collaborate with colleagues across Head Office, Risk Control, Claims and Actuarial to deliver best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• University degree and/or CII Advanced Certification or Diploma.
• Knowledge of Lloyd's Market and local insurance marketplace.
• Analytical thinking with financial acumen to support underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and assess risk for products and accounts from assigned brokers within own authority.
• Develop and manage broker relationships to grow new and renewal business.
• Support regional/product underwriting leadership with timely and complete submissions and recommendations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions aligned with underwriting standards and timelines.
• Collaborate with Head Office, Risk Control, Claims and Actuarial as needed.
• Lead and mentor colleagues in underwriting and broker management.
