• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate moderate to complex risks to maximise profitability.
• Proactively manage portfolio to hit KPIs and target new business/retention.
• Identify and action portfolio risk characteristics to improve performance.
• Capture opportunities to write additional lines of business.
• Utilize technology platforms to quote and bind risk efficiently.
• Lead Underwriting Reviews for policies or portfolios, drive actions.
• Build relationships with internal partners and cross-functional teams.
• Foster relationships with brokers via phone, email, and other channels.
• Travel to meetings as required.
• Mentor junior underwriters and support team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
