Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal P&C Engineer to support design and delivery of protection and control systems for high voltage networks up to 400 kV across industrial, transmission, and renewable projects. You will lead design teams, coordinate with clients and suppliers, review contractor designs, and contribute to tender deliverables, schedules, and safety/CDM compliance.

The role requires Chartered status advantageous, strong communication, and experience with ASPEN

Qualifications

• Proven technical capability in design/application of power system protection.
• Experience with protection at transmission voltages up to 400 kV.
• Preparation of protection/PC deliverables, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Experience with detailed electrical schematics for protection and control.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Design protection systems for voltages up to 400 kV and review designs.
• Deliver tender design man-hours estimates, deliverables lists, and programs.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers; provide technical advice and support.
• Interface with clients, suppliers, and contractors; manage risks and CDM.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and project budget requirements.
