Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer to join our Transmissions and Distributions team. You’ll design protection systems up to 400 kV, review in-house and external designs, and estimate tender man-hours and deliverables while guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• . Protection and control design experience for 400 kV systems in transmission utilities, consultancies or manufacturers.
• . Preparation of Protection and Control deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programmes and cost estimating.
• . Experience liaising with equipment suppliers, service providers and project teams to deliver aligned protection schemes.
• . Experience with detailed electrical schematic diagrams (SLD, KLD) for substations and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Design protection systems for voltages up to 400 kV and review in-house/external designs.
• Prepare tender design man-hours, deliverables lists, and design programs.
• Guide junior engineers and provide technical advice on P&C tasks.
• Coordinate protection design with other electrical/primary plant interfaces and CDM requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve design issues and present concise documentation.
