Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer in the Glasgow area to lead protection and control design for transmission and distribution projects. The role involves working on industrial, transmission/distribution and renewable sectors, delivering designs, and supporting tender estimates with a strong focus on safety and CDM compliance.

You will guide junior engineers, liaise with clients and contractors, and ensure project deliverables meet time, quality, and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• Protection design experience for transmission systems (up to 400 kV).
• Experience calculating relay settings and creating logic files.
• Knowledge of IEC61850 communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission protection systems and contribute to tender design plans.
• Review in-house and external designs for protection and control.
• Lead junior engineers and provide technical guidance on P&C tasks.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
