Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal P&C Engineer in the UK to lead protection design activities for high-voltage transmission projects, mainly in industrial, transmission/distribution and renewables sectors. You will collaborate with clients, manage senior stakeholders and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in protection design up to 400 kV for transmission systems.
• Preparation of protection deliverables, feasibility studies, reports and cost estimates.
• Calculation of relay settings and preparation of logic files.
• Experience in interface with protection systems and SCADA.
• Knowledge of IEC61850 communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission protection systems up to 400 kV and review complex designs.
• Lead and guide junior engineers and coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Prepare design programs, deliverables lists and man-hour estimates.
• Ensure project delivery to time, quality and budget; perform site support as needed.
