Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Protection & Control Engineer in Glasgow to lead design and delivery of protection systems for industrial, transmission/distribution and renewable projects. You will review designs, estimate man-hours, and guide junior engineers while ensuring quality, schedule and budget adherence.

The role requires experience with 400 kV protection, relay settings, SCADA interfaces, and coordination with internal and external parties.

Qualifications

• Proven design experience for protection and control in power systems.
• Experience with protection at transmission voltage levels up to 400 kV.
• Ability to prepare protection deliverables, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of relay settings and logic files.
• Experience with interfacing protection systems to substations and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Design and review transmission protection systems up to 400 kV.
• Produce tender design hours, deliverables lists and design programs.
• Guide junior engineers on P&C tasks with technical support.
• Prepare and review protection and control schematics and diagrams.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and service providers.
• Attend site meetings and perform non-intrusive surveys as needed.
