Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer in the UK to join our Transmissions and Distributions team. You will lead protection design and collaborate with clients on industrial, transmission and renewable projects.

The role requires hand-on experience with protection schemes up to 400 kV, relay settings, IEC61850 and SCADA interfaces. You will guide junior engineers, review designs and support bid/tender activities from Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience in protection design for transmission voltages up to 400 kV.
• Preparation of protection and control deliverables, reports and cost estimates.
• Calculation of relay settings and logic files.
• Experience interfacing with equipment suppliers, contractors and clients.
• Knowledge of IEC61850 and protection system interfaces.
• Experience with SLDs, busbars and panel layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design protection schemes for transmission projects (up to 400 kV).
• Review internal and external designs and provide technical guidance.
• Produce tender design man-hours, deliverables lists and programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical advice.
• Conduct site visits and non-intrusive surveys as part of design activities.
• Identify risks and ensure CDM compliance and safe design.
