Responsibilities

• Maintain personal safety and that of others at all times.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Comply with all relevant rules, procedures and policies.
• Undergo competence/proficiency assessments as required by procedures and SMS.
• Maintain currency of route or train knowledge and notify line manager of shortfalls.
• Identify, locate and rectify on-train faults and follow fault reporting procedures.
• Manage on-train requirements such as seat reservations and announcements.
• Ensure receipt of notices, bulletins or information relating to the job and confirm receipt where required.
• Maintain currency of all personal publications and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers in the interests of safety and service.
• Wear uniform and safety clothing provided.
