Job summary

Grand Central is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for Bradford Depot. The role requires supporting the Senior Conductor with catering services and delivering an excellent on-train customer experience across both First and Standard Class.

Salary starts at £24,479 and rises to £28,332 after training completion. This is a 12-month FTC with shift-work across seven days per week. Training and onboarding support are provided to develop your career with Grand Central.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work safely under pressure.

• Be able to work as part of a team but also comfortable working alone.
• Confident and able to make decisions.
• Be able to pass a rail safety medical including drug and alcohol testing.
• Able to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day rota.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience in all areas on-train for First and Standard Class passengers.
• Provision and management of on-board catering retail.
• Undertake all stock, storage and waste management requirements.
• Ensure personal safety and that of others at all times.
• Interact with a variety of people and adapt to unexpected events.
