Job summary

Arup is recruiting Senior Town Planners and Town Planners for its Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol or Cardiff offices. The role involves delivering complex planning projects across national, regional and local policy, including energy, water and transport schemes.

You will work with specialists to shape policy and enable major sites, with opportunities to lead planning reports, strategies and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or masters in town planning with RTPI membership or equivalent
• Experience drafting planning reports or strategies for clients
• Experience in managing planning applications and data analysis
• Project management experience including programme and commercial aspects
• Comfortable leading client meetings and developing a town planning business

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning reports or strategies for clients.
• Coordinate preparation of planning applications under TCPA or other regimes.
• Develop policy documents, spatial strategies and evidence base studies.
• Lead project teams and manage client relationships.
