Job summary

Arup in the Northern England offices is seeking a Principal and Senior Town Planner with policy planning experience to help deliver a diverse portfolio of work. You will lead planning policy, evidence base, research and strategy commissions, and take ownership of projects and client relationships while mentoring colleagues.

You will prepare clear policy documents and robust reports, advise public and private clients on policy and delivery, and contribute to Arup’s collaborative,

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning or equivalent with RTPI membership.
• Experience in leading planning policy and evidence base analyses.
• Knowledge of planning legislation and policy.
• Ability to lead client meetings and develop town planning business.
• Ability to build working relationships across disciplines and forums.
