Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Senior to Associate Structural Engineer to takea leading role in the delivery of bridges and other major permanent andtemporary structures principally in the rail and highway sectors in ourManchester office. A high proportion of the role will be focused on developing design solutions for aged rail assets, principally bridges. The role involvestechnical delivery, project management, client liaison and businessmanagement. Knowledge and experience of masonry, concrete and steelbridge design is an advantage.

Qualifications

• A degree (minimum 2:1) in civil engineering or a related discipline
• 8-15 years' structural design experience, of which a considerable amount needs to be in the UK.
• Bridge design experience in the rail and/or highway sectors
• Experience of site reconnaissance, hazard and defect identification, planning and supervising intrusive investigations
• Has achieved Chartered status with a relevant professional body
