Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Senior Technician for our Waste Water Recycling team in the South region. You will support the team manager in daily operations of water treatment sites, ensuring maintenance, quality, and safety targets are met.

The role includes being on a regional standby rota, offering hands-on technical support and cross-functional collaboration. You will be based at a main sewage treatment works, with a vehicle for business use, laptop, and safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment and supply is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Supervisory or management experience desirable.
• Willingness to travel to sites across regions.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in day-to-day operation and maintenance of wholesale assets.
• Ensure operations comply with regulatory and company requirements.
• Promote standardized H&S and quality practices.
• Assist with budgeting, cost saving, and improvement activities.
• Support capital project work and liaise with Asset Creation.
• Provide onsite technical support as needed.
