Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Senior Technician to join a new team in the Waste Water Recycling department, covering the South region (Evesham, Gloucester, Forest of Dean & Worcester). You’ll help manage day-to-day operations of water treatment and distribution sites, supporting safety, quality, continuity of supply, and cost control.

The role includes 24/7 standby on a regional rota. Travel to sites and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in operations or maintenance.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety policies and practices.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a field-based role.
• Valid full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of wholesale assets through allocated resources (people, capital assets, IT and finance).
• Ensure operation and maintenance of water supply treatment processes complies with regulatory and company requirements.
• Apply standardised H&S and quality practices and promote company principles.
• Support cost-saving, optimisation and improvement activities across the team.
• Assist with budget monitoring and preparations for the team.
• Support capital project work and liaise with Asset Creation with technical input.
