JLL is looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead the site-based engineering team and drive performance across all MEP systems. You will mentor staff, deliver day-to-day asset management, and support projects with robust reporting and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in critical environments such as banks or data centres.
• C&G Pt. 1 & 2 or equivalent recognised qualification.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation compliance.
• HV/LV Authorised Person certification.
• C&G 2391 testing/inspection; BS 7671 knowledge.
• Strong communication and leadership across teams.
• Ability to lead engineers and supervisors effectively.
• Financial awareness for Debit & WIP reporting.
• Willingness to undertake HV/MEP training as required.
• Professional appearance; proactive, diligent and ready to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and lead the on-site engineering team.
• Operate building systems efficiently and report improvements.
• Control activities related to MEP assets and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate specialist vendor visits with site facilities managers.
• Provide engineering relief cover during emergencies or shifts.
• Attend weekly client and operations meetings.
• Manage monthly and quarterly engineering reports and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate asset databases and CAFM entries.
• Monitor utilities usage and report anomalies or savings.
• Maintain engineering risk registers and critical system availability.
• Review competency, training needs and succession planning.
• Manage onsite critical spares and stock auditing.
• Report incidents (2-2-2) and conduct after-action reviews.
• Communicate regulatory updates to the team and implement.
• Ensure staffing levels and on-site resources are adequate.
• Participate in escalation processes and emergency response.
• Performance management of direct reports including appraisals.
• Promote a Safety First culture in line with Cardinal Rules.
