Southdown is hiring a Senior Support Worker to empower adults with learning disabilities, helping with daily living and community access at Coltash Road, Crawley. The role includes supervising care staff and ensuring high standards of care in a supportive, respectful environment.

The successful candidate will have care experience, DBS clearance paid by Southdown, and a commitment to safeguarding, with training provided to enhance skills in Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• A patient, empathetic mindset.
• To complete Southdown health and social care training (moving and handling, Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding).
• Previous care experience, either professionally or with family.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support, CQC standards, the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and safeguarding.
• Willing to support intimate and personal care needs.
• Experience with medication management and record-keeping.
• DBS check paid for by Southdown.

Responsabilités

• Support individuals with daily living tasks and community access.
• Oversee day-to-day care team operations and ensure quality of care.
• Promote independence, dignity and resident engagement.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager and other team members.
