Job summary

Southdown is a not-for-profit provider of accommodation, care and support for adults with learning and physical disabilities, based at PrincesCrescent in Hove.

As a support worker you’ll help clients engage with their community, with activities from beach strolls to cinema and café visits, and assist with daily tasks.

Full training is provided, DBS will be arranged, and you’ll join a welcoming team offering rewarding work and opportunities to develop skills.

Qualifications

• A patient, empathetic mindset.
• Willing to complete required health and social care training.
• DBS check eligibility, DBS paid by employer.
• Driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities to access community activities.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, cooking and personal care.
• Provide compassionate, empowering care to build clients’ confidence and independence.
• Ensure safeguarding and safety protocols are followed.
