Job summary

The Field Lane Foundation is seeking a Senior Care and Support Worker for our community-based service in Betchworth, Surrey. You will help adults with learning disabilities live independently in their own homes or with family, building trusting relationships and supporting daily living.

You will work with a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care, promote dignity and independence, and uphold safeguarding and safety policies within the local community.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Care or willingness to complete.
• 2+ years’ experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Caring, empathetic and non-judgemental attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm, cheerful and professional in challenging situations.
• Commitment to high standards and person-centred support.
• Full Driving Licence and use of own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care alongside a dedicated team.
• Deliver personal care in line with individual care plans.
• Support with daily living tasks (mealtimes, laundry, housekeeping).
• Promote inclusion, dignity and independence for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and organisational policies.
