Job summary

Linkit Recruitment is seeking Senior Support Workers and Support Workers for permanent roles across the Midlands. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, working in enhanced staffing configurations (3:1/4:1/5:1) and using Positive Behaviour Support to prevent escalation.

The role requires calm, professional handling of behavioural challenges, adherence to care plans and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Experience in enhanced staffing packages (3:1, 4:1, 5:1) or high-acuity services.
Experience managing behavioural escalation and physical aggression.
Experience with detailed care plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans.
Understanding safeguarding and least restrictive practice.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred support per care plan, risk assessments and PBS.
Work within 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 staffing arrangements.
Recognise triggers and respond proactively to changes in behaviour.
Use de-escalation techniques to reduce distress and prevent escalation.
Maintain calm, professional communication during challenging situations.
Record care delivery, behavioural observations, incidents and interventions.
Adhere to professional boundaries and safeguarding practices.
