Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Support Worker - Complex Care in the Midlands to provide person-centred support to young people in community-based residential settings.

You will work with 2:1 to 4:1 ratios, promote independence, maintain records, and participate in training, handovers and safeguarding procedures. A strong commitment to safeguarding and calm de-escalation is essential, with shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting young people or adults with complex care needs.
• Experience with behaviours that challenge, safeguarding procedures and person-centred care practices.
• Ability to remain calm, resilient and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people with complex care needs in community-based residential settings.
• Support teenagers and young adults in single occupancy placements with staffing ratios from 2:1 to 4:1.
• Promote independence, wellbeing, and life skills development.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports and daily documentation.
• Follow and implement support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Attend handovers, team meetings and training to ensure best practice.
