Job summary

Linkit Recruitment is recruiting Team Leaders / Deputy Managers across Yorkshire to provide operational leadership in high-acuity care settings with 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 staffing arrangements.

You will lead shifts, oversee risk assessments, ensure PBS and DoLS compliance, manage incidents, support staff development and safeguard the dignity and rights of individuals.

This permanent role includes progression through levels and access to ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care or high-risk behavioural services preferred.
• Proven ability to lead shifts and supervise staff.
• Strong understanding of PBS, risk assessments and DoLS.
• Experience managing behaviours that challenge and physical intervention where appropriate.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and least restrictive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff during shifts and allocate within enhanced staffing.
• Maintain oversight of risk and staffing suitability.
• Ensure staff understand triggers and escalation protocols.
• Lead responses during significant behavioural incidents.
• Ensure de-escalation is primary response; use restrictive interventions only when lawful and necessary.
• Coordinate responses to aggression, absconding or high-risk behaviour.
• Monitor and review incident reports and guidance.
• Support staff supervision and performance management.
• Identify training and development needs.
