Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care or supported living.
• Previous senior or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of person-centred support and safeguarding.
• Good communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• Commitment to helping adults with learning disabilities gain independence.
• Motivation to develop career and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts to ensure safe, effective operation.
• Promote person-centred support, dignity, choice and independence.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive team environment.
• Support colleagues with induction, training and development.
• Collaborate with management, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, risks, incidents, medication and daily tasks.
• Ensure support plans, risk assessments and records are up to date.
• Support audits, quality monitoring and compliance.
• Apply Mental Capacity Act principles and make decisions in absence of management.
• Identify training needs and contribute to service improvement.
