Peters Dean Care Ltd is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join a service providing supported accommodation for young people. You will lead shifts, build relationships, and provide practical and emotional support to help young people develop independent living skills.

We offer a two-on, four-off rolling rota, ongoing training, and opportunities to progress into team leadership or management roles. Sponsorship is not available and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with young people in supported accommodation, residential childcare or a similar social care setting.
• Ability to build relationships, stay calm under pressure and set a positive example to others.
• Ability to take responsibility for a shift and keep accurate records.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or related subject desirable.

Aufgaben

• Building positive, trusting relationships and providing practical and emotional support.
• Helping young people develop independent living skills, including cooking, budgeting and routines.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing, relationships and decision-making.
• Leading shifts, guiding staff and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Completing handovers, records, incident reports and paperwork.
• Following safeguarding procedures and managing risks on shift.
• Helping maintain a safe, clean and welcoming home.
• Supporting colleagues and helping new staff settle in.
• Working with the wider team to provide consistent support.
