Job summary

Peters Dean Care Ltd in Crawley seeks a Senior Residential Support Worker to lead and mentor a team providing care for children and young people aged 10 to 17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

You will work on a shift-based rota with sleeps, coordinate with schools, social workers and healthcare professionals, and document care plans and risk assessments while safeguarding every child.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience in residential childcare.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with resilience and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead care and welfare of each child in placement.
• Coordinate meetings with schools and social workers.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff.
• Write reports for care plans and reviews.
• Record medication administration and risk assessments.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
• Liaise with families and healthcare professionals.
