Job summary

Nouvita Healthcare Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our residential home team, supporting adults with learning disabilities. You will lead and mentor a team, deliver person-centred care, and help residents maintain independence and safety.

You will coordinate daily living activities, contribute to care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes. A flexible, patient-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior or leadership role is desirable.
• NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, medication administration and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding care.
• Promote person-centred support, ensuring each individual's needs, choices and goals are respected.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, medication and community access where required.
• Complete and review care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
• Support staff through mentoring, supervision and on-the-job guidance.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies are followed at all times.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the people we support.
• Take responsibility for the service in the absence of the Manager, where required.
